PLAAF training lecture for new pilots:
>Trainer: Why do you engage in close dogfights?
>Cadet: Because I have superior maneuverability!
>Trainer: Wrong, because you are really dumb.
How true is this in the modern age of stealth jets being extremely hard to pick up on radar?

It's common sense. America figured it out with the F22, cemented it with the F35, and everyone else pursuing stealth and unmanned aircraft knows the same thing. You don't know it because you listen to too many long-retired boomer 4th gen fighter pilots doing podcasts (aka you are dumb).

with stealth tech and geometry constantly evolving we might do a full circle and go back to the ww2 era of just flying around the general direction of the enemy until you see shit to shoot your guns at
that would be extremely /k/ino
man can only dream

its just question of time(10 yrs) before some new innovation allows for a highly capable jet to get inside your BVR formation and slaughter everyone inside

modern aesa radars bust stealth from very long ranges so that's unlikely

That innovation will be a stealth drone that can pull 15Gs without killing a meat bag inside.

If all radar was deleted tomorrow the F35 and the J35 would still have 360x360 degree staring IR bubbles and off-boresight IR missiles.

15Gs is nothing compared to a missile.

your BVR missile isnt going to be able to reach a mach 10 fighter(scramjets can do this btw), and your stealth jet wont have enough ammo for when its in range, nor a gun, not that itd make a difference.
You either compromise speed, range or weight, and stealth fighter have a pathetic ammount of weight they can keep inside their bay

The biggest potential disruptor I see on the horizon is DEWs, provided they can get them to work well. There’s a lot of ifs there but by all accounts the 6th gens are being built with absolutely monstrous power generation capacity and that gives a lot of margin to play with

That's great for APS against missiles, but the inevitable response is but what about the ground where you can put bigger optics and more powerful generators

No, no he's thinking ahead.
See, AI is bullshit, and eventually we're going to be putting synthetic brains in vats inside of the machines.

He’s talking about the idea that if you get rid of the pilot, the airplane would be able to take more G’s.

Which sounds logical, but is complete bunk. With modern g-suits and compensation techniques, generally speaking you’ll bend the airframe before the pilot passes out.

ahhhh i see, im just retarded
i was thinking he was talking about a drone that can do 15gs while it actually had a meatbag inside rather than having a drone that can do 15gs because it doesn't have to worry about the meatbag that would otherwise be inside it

No, anon is right, put the pilot (their brain) inside of a Coke can full of fluid and then make the jet be able to pull a 30G turn.
And make them able to destroy the Bydo Empire in 1 life.

We are in the transition period of getting rid of manned fighters. Already, drones have been developed to "escort" manned fighters. The logical evolution is unmanned drones controlled by a flying command ship far behind the front line. Eventually, AI will get good enough to have the drones be completely autonomous. Captcha: GROKT

If you consider visual range to be Eyeball Mk 1 Mod 0, yes.
If you consider visual range to include enhanced visual range through magnified optics and thermal imaging, then the answer is no from most angles.
