Do you realize that 90% of non-drone tech used in Ukraine has been obsolete for 20+ years and more often than not consists of monkey models? Do you realize that actual superpowers have managed to advance their tech beyond 1991 and (for example) can field an actual air force that could blast all every single part of of the enemy's FPV drone infrastructure way before the drones are even able to see the blufor ground forces?

It's debatable how much damage is actually being done to tanks by drones.

Most of the knowledgeable analysis I've read seems to indicate that the tanks are mostly being knocked out by mines, ATGMs, and artillery, and the drones are mostly being used to destroying already disabled tanks to prevent their recovery.

The special operation in Ukraine has revolutionized land combat and how armor is used, but the War Against Chinese Aggression is going to be an evolutionary ground for how we fight on the water. Maybe a US aircraft carrier is going to get totally fucked by missiles and drones, and it'll have a huge effect on the American public. Maybe we'll see a reversal of how Russia has taken missile pods from warships and welded them onto MT-LBs. Imagine a carrier getting upgraded to have 10+ CIWS on them. Or a bunch of patriot missiles affixed to a cruiser.

Thats the problem you see, USA cannot _try_ do that without incurring losses it cannot replace within a few years, while the chinks can. So doing that would just play into the chink strategy of attrition. My prediction for an eastern pacific war is the US trying to bomb the chink coast factories, get some minor successes paid for with too high losses, then switch tactics to a kiting withdrawal while trying to build a global coalition of the willing.
