I hate that fucking cape the lord is supposed to be wearing. Capes were never fucking worn like that, least of all in that 15th century depiction. The houppelande or haincelin he is wearing is his warm outer garment. Otherwise you can wear a heuke or huke over the doublet. In a few paintings you do see cloaks no lower than the hips being worn over the over-gown, but it is rare. Picrel is the goat of 15th century fashion Duke Philip le Bon of Burgundy.
