Glocks aren't even worth what Glock is charging for them nowadays. That's the great irony of Glock. It's one of the most iconic guns of all time but that icon is worth very little.

I assume the arrow is pointing out the lack of grip texturing between the front strap and back strap. Smith does it on some of their other guns as well.
