Drone swarms are fast, adaptive and dangerous. Defending against them requires more than point solutions, it takes an integrated approach. Sanctum is Lockheed Martin’s next-generation counter-UAS solution, built to detect, track and defeat unmanned threats before they reach critical assets. From radar and sensors to directed energy and kinetic effectors, Sanctum fuses proven technologies into a single, intelligent counter-thirdie system for mogging FPV fans with the power of the MIC™.

what did this thing do to take out the whole swarm? microwave or jamming?

High power microwave. Search MORPHIUS.

And guess what, they don't fucking work against drones or else we'd be seeing them in Ukraine.
Hard kill is the only real and futureproof anti drone measure.

Watch Epirus testing vs dozens of Mavics and FPVs simultaneously. Norinco posts video too.

They do work but the only realistic use case is against a swarm at close (<3km) range. In practice you cannot use them for drones that come in small waves because you just don't have enough power to blast it every 5 minutes

>he doesn't know
You can blast it continuously for over half an hour at full ROF.
Fuck, why make up these halfassed fudd copes? Read the manuals, the news, or watch the tests.

If it was real we'd be seeing it in use.
Do you have any idea how many billions in equipment have been invested into defending Ukraine? If there was a magical beam that could just drop the currently most potent weapon from the sky it would be in use.

It's ridiculous to demonstrate the system against off the shelf drones when 99% of the ones in use in Ukraine are almost DIY level and even a drunk slav is capable of wrapping some circuit boards in aluminum tape.

like jamming and lazers it only works against drones that weren't built to protect against it and didn't foresee it. that's why you keep your real weapons secret always.

one way long range kamikaze drones are only good because they are cost effective means of causing damage, if you start requiring drones to be more complex, they become too expensive to be viable
Anonymous No.64391779 [Report]
>>64391758
Oh yeah? defeating jamming with a spool of fiber optic is too expensive which is why we never see those, right?

Like 90-95% of drone losses in Ukraine are to jamming, retard.

Microwave induction of current is a well known and studied phenomenon. Just because you're too stupid and brown to understand indoor plumbing, let alone electricity, doesn't mean the rest of the world is.

While that is a true statement these drones run anywhere from $150-$400 a piece. There's a pretty massive amount of room for them to increase in price before hitting a point of not being worthwhile compared to alternative options. It's very early days and hard to say how exactly things will shake out in the drone/counter drone race

Yes, and since it takes a few milliseconds per 'shot' it has effectively hundreds of thousands of wide area shots before a private has to top off the fuel tank.
