At this point I think they've already accepted he's bullshitting them. Trump is smarter than people give him credit for, I think he knew Putin was bullshitting him but had to prove it to his base first before they'd go along with him. If you asked your average facebook MAGA boomer 3 months ago what they thought about Ukraine they'd say something about Zelensky and cocaine addiction, now they'll talk about how Trump just wants peace and Putin tricked him! He genuinely does seem to want the war to end, all things considered.

What's old is new again. Back in the '80s the threat of nuke-loaded ground-launched Tomahawks scared the Soviets enough where they were all on-board for another nuclear-arms limitation treaty.

Another anon pointed out in the ill-timed vatnoid spam thread that the concept isn't entirely new (VLS on a HEMMT), and yet despite that and the reams of material on the *extreme* feasibility of low-cost mobile ground-launchers for Tomahawks, vatnoids and their thirdie simps betray their utterly shit powerlevel once again.
The amount of
>how would ukropignazihoholkrops even LAUNCH Tomahawk?
>is of only SEA-BASED shootings, yes?!
>Surely at no point in the decades of Americans having Tomahawk would they have explored anything but water for shooting
has been incredible to behold.
Beyond the current-thing thing, more mobile-launch strategic options have been a focus for a while, as I understand, with the Burger focus on the Pacific threat, so in this seems like a perfectly solid option to accompany those little unmanned fuckers for the Marines.

Possibly but I'd still doubt it. For better or worse, Trump is the kind of guy to not believe something until he sees it himself, which sort of makes sense since he's been out of the White House for 4 years and hasn't had his finger on the global situation in that time between. >In short, the Tomahawk is not a weapon that can be easily transferred, like the HIMARS or Storm Shadow. It is a system-of-systems that exists only within the U.S. Navyโ€™s strike ecosystem. Ukraine lacks the platforms, networks, mission planning tools, data access, cryptographic systems, training, and logistics to operate independently. Even if provided the missiles, their operation would remain entirely U.S.-controlled, with Ukraine serving at most as a geographic proxy. This is not a matter of willpower but of design: the Tomahawk is inseparable from the institutional and technical infrastructure of U.S. naval combat power.

Man I should post whatshisface substack where he says the USA will lose any war it faces against Russia or China because USA is not built for war and shit. It was funny stuff.

Either way, the handing of the missiles was never going to happen because;
1. Trump is doing it to try and get Russia to accept what is essentially everything and more that Russia wants deal (Russia still wants even MORE than that)
2. Trump doesn't give a shit about Ukraine or removing a geopolitical opponent; he just wants to pretend he does.
3. Even if he did (he won't) then it won't be enough or independent enough for Ukraine to make use of it

Which ultimately means Ukraine is better off pretending they're completely on their own because nobody is going to give them what they need to end this war in their favour.

Because it means he can get the $500bn he demanded in war reparations from Ukraine quicker and safer. The fact Putin spat in his face despite Trump offering everything and more to him is on Trump, really. He's clearly got retard advisors who won't tell him that Putin will only respect strength and if you want Putin to agree to the extremely one-sided peace deal, then you're gonna have to start hitting him hard enough that he realizes he cannot actually take it much further and he's better off settling.

The Ukrainians are already operating a suite for their indigenous GLCM solution. They can figure it out and integrate a foreign one faster than you might suppose.

This is shades of "It would take like a decade to train them on F-16s, we can't possibly send them!" retardation from 2023. As those training and supporting services timelines were being entirely informed by our attempts to train sand-people for the last 20 years.

>Not understanding realpolitik

Anons, the US wants both Russia and Ukraine broken at the end of this war. They don't want Ukraine negotiating from a position of strength where they start making demands, but from a position of weakness where they have no choice but to give the West everything it wants to pay off their war tab and then beg for reconstruction to repair damaged infrastructure and dwindling demographics. This is by design.

The US is looking for a pliant ally that knows its in no position to resist Western hegemony, not another butthurt slavic nation high on its own farts thinking they defeated Le Russia. We want to be in a position where Ukraine is past the point of no return, in up to the cuff with us on war debts and with their economy five years from collapse if they don't sign up for the generous rebuilding plan. Which makes perfect sense as long as you're not European. Russia is not an existential threat to the US, we can afford to let them trash Ukraine if it means coming out on top ourselves as long as Russia is never in a position to win and just keeps self-exterminating. Europe sees Russia as an existential threat because they share a continent with them, but that is not our problem. The post-war order is our main skin in the game, we want to be in a position to balkanize Russia and demand all the resources and lands we want from them and we can't do that if Ukraine is standing in the way bitching about how they did most of the fighting and therefore should absorb most of Russia after it collapses. This is an American world, not a Ukrainian one.
