>>>Doesn't know what a glove loop is...
Doesn't know zero big loops existed until the 50's.
>Gets cold in Appalachia in February
I guess it never got cold in Appalachia in February until the 1950's, and somehow the people who thought about it getting cold in Appalachia in February were in California, and they all happened to be filming movies and TV shows.
This has come up before, when it gets so cold you need to wear thick gloves which don't fit in the loop, you don't put your hand IN the loop, you put your hand ON the loop, and you only put your trigger finger through the trigger loop.
Thick gloves make finger abduction difficult, but don't interfere with finger flexure. If you put a heavy glove on, on a straight-wrist stock, and put your fingers through the loop, you will need to use effort to keep your finger off the trigger because the shape of the glove will be pulling it downwards towards the end of the trigger shoe.
If instead you rest your hand ON the loop, you have far less abduction to reach the trigger with your index finger, which is much safer.
Big loops are just shit.
