Oi vey goy, I know it's just a 1911 with double capacity but that would be 5k plus tip!

Why the 2011 cannot be affordable like the classic 1911?

They are newer tech, so they are expensive. Also you can get a new 2011 for 800-900 if you don't mind turks or live free armory

how about the barrel, frame, and slide? if it's just the extractor that sucks and has to be replaced then that's not bad. hell, even if all of the fcg parts suck it's still a good deal so long as the barrel, frame, and slide are good. I haven't seen any proof that tisas is actually bad, unlike shit like stoeger and panzer arms where I've seen pictures of sheared bolts

There isn’t anything wrong with Tisas but the metal used IS soft which isn’t an issue. I don’t know how well their 10mm model holds up but their 9mm and .45 ones are fine.

The .45 one I had refused to feed JHPs from a 8 round mag no matter the brand while 7 rounders were fine. Classic 1911ism. The 10mm one I had randomly failed to feed every other mag so I sold it

You will never be a real hohol. You have no sub-Guatemala per capita GDP, you have no Zionist-funded Nazi militias, you have no life expectancy below that of the Philippines. You are a canuck twisted by Cold War propaganda and a persecution complex into a crude mockery of Ukrainian alcoholism.

All the “Ukrainian pride” you feel is artificial and half-hearted. Behind your back real slavs mock you. Your cousins working brothels in Amsterdam are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “countrymen” laugh at your inability to read Cyrillic behind closed doors.

Vatniks are utterly unbothered by you. Hundreds of years of running a multiethnic empire have allowed Russians to sniff out butthurt diaspora communities with incredible efficiency. Even Ukrainian Manitobans who “pass” look unnatural to a slav. Your ability to drive a vehicle after noon is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a mail order bride to wed you, she’ll leave you and take half your money the second she gets a whiff of your diseased, infected apologies.

You will never be blacked out drunk for years on end. You eat some salo every single Ukrainian holiday and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the desire for Tim Hortons creeping up like a flood, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.

Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll log on to 4chan, solve the captcha, and post cringe. Anons will find your empty ramblings, confused and ashamed that Hiroyuki still lets Canadian IPs post on pol. They’ll screenshot your posts and save them in their cringe folder, and every glowie accessing their files for the rest of eternity will know another butthurt Ukrainian Canadian was seething there. Your memes will be studied by AI, and all that will remain of your legacy are some rantings that are unmistakably formulaic.

This is your fate. This is what Victoria Nuland chose. There is no turning back.

>Why the 2011 cannot be affordable like the classic 1911?
The 1911 market was already averaging in the low $1000 area before the 2011 hype hit, so of course they're going to charge more. Especially when so many people are willing to buy them at that price. But it's not the price that gets me, it's the fact that a ton of buyers have been dazzled by a few extra rounds in the mag to not only pay extra, but to forget that there's a reason why the 1911 fell out of popular use 40 years ago. Maybe the 2011s are actually amazing, but I've never shot a 1911 that I would trust over other designs and I've already lived through enough "This new 1911 variant is a real modern contender!" articles just to find out that it's the same old shit.

No. SVI and STI shared the patent to the 2011. SVI being founded by one of the inventors.
>Around 1993, an engineer and computer aided design (CAD) expert named Sandy Strayer joined Tripp Research, Inc. Tripp and Strayer revolutionized the 1911 market by designing a modular high-capacity 1911 frame for International Practical Shooting Confederation shooters. Whilst Para Ordnance already had a high-capacity 1911 frame on the market, it was made of steel. The modular frame made use of a fibre-reinforced plastic which combined the trigger guard, grip, and integral magazine well. It used a proprietary grip which attached to the upper portion of the frame (a metal part that comprised the dust cover and frame rails). The result was that the modular frame weighed less than half of what the steel frame weighed. Furthermore, while the Para frame feels notably larger than a standard 1911 in the hand, the STI feels similar to a regular 1911 since the grips are moulded into the plastic of the frame rather than screwed to the outside. Tripp and Strayer were listed as the co-patent holders on the modular frame. Soon after the modular frame was introduced, the company name changed to STI (Strayer-Tripp, Inc.) and Strayer was given an equity stake in the new company.

>In June 1994, Sandy Strayer left STI to start a new company called Strayer Voigt Inc, which focuses on building completely custom pistols as opposed to the "semi-custom" models of STI.

>In November 1994, Dave and Shirley Skinner, owners of an electronics company named Tessco, Inc., became involved in the operation of STI along with Virgil Tripp. In early 1997, the Skinners completed their purchase of STI from Virgil Tripp and renamed the company to STI International, Inc. Virgil went on to start a new company using the name Tripp Research, Inc.
