Germany Shopping List
>The Bundeswehr plans to buy 400 Tomahawk Block Vb cruise missiles for roughly €1.15 billion, along with three Lockheed Martin Typhon launchers valued at €220 million — a combination that would give Germany a 2,000-kilometer strike reach.

What are they planning?

it's intended as a stop-gap solution until a European deep strike capability (ELSA) is ready.

but man, Oshkosh just unvailed a smaller and less cumbersome Tomahawk launcher, I hope we get that instead of the oversized Typhon

only issue is idk if that new Oshkosh vehicle can also launch SM-6 like Typhon, but I also don't know if the German gov even wants SM-6

It's even worse than that, China has completely torched as a viable manufacturing hub for anything more critical than an electric dildo.
It's an open secret that China steals design data from shit you send there to build in their sweatshops, but they made it brazenly obvious when they extorted German companies for confidential data to continue producing their shit or allow the transfer of REEs.
Made in China 2025 has ended right here, this is the last year that new orders will go to China, everyone will be moving away to the SEAmonkeys, especially Vietnam.

Copypastaing the US and Australia installations
2020 that the DoW and DoE invested half a billion in REE mining and processing and another 1.5 billion in general supporting infrastructure between 2020 and 2023. PLUS another $400m directly in MP materials earlier this year. And another $2B US-AU investment with a 6 month timeline last week. Little late, but better than never.
So here's the rundown on US REE refining. Two plants online, Mountain Pass
does 6.5k tons of finished product annually, other one is a bit of a meme, but 4 more coming online in 2026/2027. Australia has 1 that specializes in picrel with 3 coming online in 2026. This also doesn't include Malaysia who refined 10k tons of finished product who we import from.

There’s a phrase in my country called “je eigen ruiten ingooien” and it applies perfectly to china now and the rest of the global south as well. They seemingly never learn this lesson.
Every time they have some sort of economic or cultural leverage they can enjoy, they decide to dickwave instead and hold the world economy hostage with it if they don’t conform to their every whim, which then causes an obvious reaction where whoever was too reliant on them compensates and finds someone else to get them what they need. Russia did this as well, all of them can’t seem to stop getting too big for their boots.

Do you know what the 'O' stands for in 'REO'? It stands for oxide. And you said:

>Produced record 1,294 metric tons of NdPr oxide in 2024

Oxides are ores.

So Mountain Pass Mine produces zero refined rare earth metals, logically enough because it has no refining capacity.
