Forward trigger is for semi auto fire, rear trigger is for full auto.
I guess why have a selector when you can just have 2 triggers instead? Given how familiar Italians would have been with shotguns I reckon it makes some sense.

Here's a personal favorite for me. A SOCIMI AR-831, basically a casette-futurist take on an M16A1

True, but it is more of an exception rather than the rule. A lot of their older WW1/WW2 designs suffered purely out of necessity. They couldn't spare the time to make them look pretty with limited resources, little industrial capacity and multiple wars to fight.

Alright beretta bros, I really want a 92. IDGAF about weight, I'm a slightly below average lanklet so OWB under jacket is how I always carry. I really want the 92x (steel frame) without the rail only because it looks nicer but I also am worried I will regret not having a frame rail. I 100% plan on adding wood grips and having the thing blued if I can. However, the only thing I have heard is to wait for the upgrades they put on the 92gts to be applied.

I'm mostly a CZfag so I'm more used to some of the fuckery they do with those, but at the risk of sounding heretical, does anyone do custom longslides? With the extended baseplates everyone runs these days it triggers my brain autism when the slide and the grip/mag are the same length. I know people use the robocop comps or similarly long ones but if there was a slide for a 6" or 6.5" barrel it would look so much better imo.

Anyways I know next year will be the 500th anniversary of Beretta as a company so I expect special stuff and/or a big sale, should I keep waiting for the GTS upgrades to apply to the 92x or is there a DIY guide for upgrades like CZ has with Cajun/CZC?

8 have the 82x here >>6446185 and frankly unless you're super into target shooting, like competition level, I see absolutely no reason to go messing around with "upgrades." It's got a great trigger pull already, the only thing I would change is I would have gotten a frame safety model because Its closer to the 1911 manual of arms which is what I learned on and prefer, but if you're into czs that shouldn't be an issue. For what it's worth I don't use my frame rail, I always just pocket carry a flashlight and I do have a cheap laser I could put on it that I don't bother with because then it doesn't fit in my sexy Beretta (tm) leather holster. If you really do want to mess with it, Langdon tactical seems to be who most people recommend but idk about long slides. Most I ever see is the compensator stuff which seems unnecessary to me, it's a big gun and doesn't have much recoil in the first place. Im sure there will be some kind of sale if you can wait, Beretta frequently does 100 dollar off coupons and stuff, that said they aren't really super expensive guns in the first place. I think I got mine for 600?

Thanks for the advice. Living in AZ is a fuck for a lot of reasons but we have 2 of the best aftermarket pistol places within driving distance (CZC and Langdon) and a fuckload of public land once you get out of Maricopa to shoot.

The FK Brno Field Pistol kinda scratches the itch I have for a big fuck off hand cannon pistol in a shoulder holster but I hope a 92 can do it instead of buying that thing

>I have for a big fuck off hand cannon pistol in a shoulder holster but I hope a 92 can do it instead of buying that thing
the 92 is a 9mm, it's certainly not a hand cannon. I'd say that you should consider a desert eagle but I've heard they have issues with reliability. I think that for what you want you're better off getting a 10mm 1911 and handloading it to be pissin hot (as all 10mm should be). and no, there are no long slides for the 92, the closest you can get is to put a long comp on it. I think that a 10mm 92x performance with a long slide and a comp would be kick ass but you and I will just have to keep dreaming.

>worried about not having a frame rail
do you want a flashlight? if not then get it without the rail. I think that a light doesn't make quite as much sense for a carry gun as it does for a home defense gun. if you're in public then you want to be able to illuminate stuff without pointing a gun at whatever it is. some people say that you can have both and then drop the flashlight and turn on your weapon light, but I have my doubts about that. I have an M9A4 with an X300 and the switches are too short to be toggled with your index finger unless you have big ass hands. so you'd have to drop the flashlight, turn the weapon light on with your support hand, and then move your support hand to the grip. IMO that's too much shit to fuck with if you're fearing for your life while someone is running up on you. it seems more practical to just shoot with one hand and hold the light with the other.

>I'd say that you should consider a desert eagle but I've heard they have issues with reliability
they don't if you're autistic about it
my friend has one in .357 that runs perfectly as long as he feeds it the right ammo
only downside is you have to clean it completely every single time you've shot it
no idea why he even bothers shooting it when he has to spend 1-2 hours cleaning, but if you're into that it's great
