It is a pretty good one, but what pistol is best gets very subjective. There are lots of really good options in the 1k range.

No, the HK P30 is. CZ makes overhyped junk that makes sense only if you’re getting a brand new gun for $350 or a riced out racegun.

P2000SK on BUG duty. They take the same mags and the p2k has a slimmer grip for comfort.

Today, stock strikerslop lasts one million rounds without repairs. CZ is fine but it’s just an old 9mm and not worth much more than $350. They’re hardly 1911s.

Yes it’s this for hammer fired and Glock 19 Gen 3 for striker fired.
Throw in the Glock 43 for subcompact and I’ve got all of my pistol wants/needs covered with these 3.

So this is how the goalpost shifts. First it was a problem when you believed it happened at less than 1,000 rounds; now it's a problem when it happens at a much higher number. Tell me, do you also bitch and moan when the Glock's locking block pin and/or slide stop lever starts to fail at approximately 3,000 rounds?

I have a P01 with probably 10k through it that I've easily dry fired more than 200 times and this roll pin hasn't broken.
I bought it in 2012.
The original NATO testing mandated 25k rounds fired without failure on multiple examples.
Where are you people getting this 2-5k failure figure from?
Anonymous No.64462696 [Report] >>64462876 >>64463498
>>64462512
The thing is cz is a bunch of liars. According to that NATO test they claim the p01 is good to 30k. This isn't true since all cz75 have a 15k lifespan slidestop. Which they omit entirely in their hype of the p01. Race or comp cz come with multiple slidestop levers. It's all the same lever. The p01 doesn't have a magic one that lasts 30k.
My personal p01 shit itself and had to be returned to factory twice it would have been more than that but they don't warranty past 3 years. The trigger return spring broke twice both times under 3k. It had stove piping issues that were a bitch to diagnose. Cause they "fixed it" and it only stayed fixed for around 1k rounds before it started happening again. I like the gun but don't trust it at all. I fully expect for it to randomly break something each range trip and keep spare parts on hand. You could say oh sample size of 1 but I know 2 other people with cz whose guns had something break in it before hitting 3k.
The way I feel is they are initially flawless to 2-4k and will make a shooter in this honeymoon period it a fanboy. Most people will never shoot 2k. But if you make it to 10k you'll have had multiple things go wrong. But it passed non existing NATO test. Bunch of liars. They don't officialy state part life anywhere but those springs fail randomly at any moment. Well before they should. When people post it's an unreliable gun they aren't lieing theys just shot it more. The ones defending the design haven't used it enough.

>So this is how the goalpost shifts
No dude you're just illiterate lmfao the firing pin retaining pin does frequently break under 1k total rounds when dry firing without a snap cap. If your point is that when using the gun "normally" i.e. with a snap cap or live firing, the average failure rate goes to 2-5k, then that's STILL an unacceptable rate of failure for any part that isn't a spring.
All of this has been very well documented since the B series was introduced and it's the reason most comp CZs don't even have the firing pin retaining pin at all, as well as why the first upgrade most people recommend for the gun is a hardened pin.
picrel is my clapped out surplus Pre B, another 75 series that doesn't have this issue; go figure.

I believe you, which is why I implied that it happens with most guns in >>64462512. I talked about how the Glock tends to break its locking block pin and its slide stop lever at approximately 3-5k rounds, and no one mentions that, but when the CZ slide stop breaks at around the same round count, all the haters come out of the woodwork. The reality is that these devices have parts that wear out and need to be replaced; that isn't just CZ, it's all handguns, and it happens more now than in the past because most metal internal parts are MIM.

>>64462719
>then that's STILL an unacceptable rate of failure for any part that isn't a spring.

He wasn't confused by your ESL language; he was confused why you claimed the HK P30 is unobtainable without an FFL when it's not. It's pretty easy to buy one.
Calls others illiterate, completely fails to read the point where one mentions that Glocks are also having parts (that aren't springs) replaced around that round count. The projecting is strong with this retard.

Reread the answer you are responding to, you retard. A Glock's locking block pin and/or slide stop lever at around the same round count, and you retards never seem to get as butthurt over that design. All handguns have parts that need to be replaced at around that round count but you faggots only seem to get your panties in a twist over 1 design despite it happening to all of them

I ignored the part about Glocks because it's either a bad faith argument or that of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. To imply that a locking block pin or slide stop lever fails at remotely the same rate or under the same circumstances as the firing pin retaining pin on the 75 series is hilarious.
Literally Google "CZ75 firing pin retaining pin broke" and you will find dozens of examples of them breaking, often under 600 rounds of "normal" usage (i.e. no dry firing without a snap cap). You cannot name a single other pistol with a wear part that breaks with that few rounds with that level of frequency. It is, again, why a stronger pin is the single most popular upgrade for those pistols.
It's such a funny thing to argue about, too. It's basically a meme that CZ75s have to be frequently rebuilt in comp shooting spaces. I think you're just digging your heels in because this is the gun you bought and you want it to be "the best" to justify that purchase.

The problem isnt that the part fails. The problem is that it fails in an unpredictable manner.
If your phone battery lasts only 20 hours compared to competitors 24 then you charge it every night and its fine. you can predict when its going to die and plan around that.
if you have a phone where you have no idea how long the battery is going to last and have no idea how much you charged it. thats a problem. does it hold charge for 1 hour? does it last 20hours? will it die 2 seconds from now? who knows.
there people claiming some spring snapped at extremely low round counts. theres others claiming well mine went this far. both can be true.
the pin holding the locking block on a glock is not doing the same thing as the slidestop on the cz. the cz slidestop is what the barrel is pivoting on. its under way more stress.

that's because CZ owners are more mechanically aware and prone to having discussions about it, whereas glock owners are just like "huh, the thing doesn't work" and they take it to the shop and the shop guy takes care of it, it's no different from how autism diagnosis wasn't a thing 50 years ago, it doesn't mean there was no autism

People that take guns "to the shop" are so weird. If a person cant figure out how a Glock works then.... they might be low IQ, they're not even had to take a apart , down to the frame....

I have a friend who has his shop do everything for him, including trigger installs and im like bro WTF??? he cant even replace an AR-15 trigger but he shoots in IPSC matches regularly.

Its so weird to me. He also cant install his own night sights, he just throws money at people.

I was going to buy a p30 until I learned more about the px4. It seemed like it was much easier to get a good/better trigger on the px4 than it would be for the p30 so I went with Beretta and I'm glad I did. The rotating barrel really does make it shoot smoothly, and the worked over Langdon trigger feels phenomenal. The HK looks much better, but the looks of the px4 has grown on me.

That's understandable. The PX4 was a $450 pistol in 2017, now you can't even get a normal compact for under $650. Then Ernest Langdon looks at them for a few minutes and they become $2000 pistols, what the fuck. And in all that, they don't even fix the lack of grippiness on the grip aside from giving you a $15 talon grip to put on yourself.
