Should I sell my Colt Python (2024)?
It's kind of expensive, it's not that accurate (at least in my hands) and it's not practical for self defense due to small capacity and revolvers taking a long time to load.

Don't expect to get close to what you paid, it's a buyer's market right now.

Also don't listen to people here who believe selling a gun is like selling a child. If it's ultimately just a gunko pop to you (as most guns are to most gun owners especially in the US) then it's OK to part with it.

Damage is kind of already done there, but you could probably get like $1000 for it
>it's not that accurate
First check the rear sight. If it's wobbling under finger pressure, secure the small screw with loctite. Or spend 100 wilsonbux on his rear sight.
>it's not practical for self defense due to small capacity and revolvers taking a long time to load
It's a full size revolver, of course you're not going to carry it concealed. The point of the Python is to be a cozy shooting experience with a good double action trigger and classic aesthetics. Do you shoot it much?

How is a .357 revolver not practical for self defense?

The reasons you listen sure are why.

You aren't Bonnie and Clyde retard. If you are caught in a situation where you need more than 6 rounds, you are probably fucked. Muggers often run without any shot being fired, and if they get shot any of their darkie frens run too.

For home defence the bigger concern would be from going fucking deaf and flashblind.

nice gets even if wasted on you.
ackshually your only two options are:
option 1: you need 2-3 shots. high chance you will survive, even if you miss.
option 2: you need more than 10 shots in several targets. high chance you're fucked, especially if you miss.
let's face it: you suck. you will fuck up the most important moment in your life, your only chance to be anything like an action hero and kill all the bad guys with uncompromising headshots. a panicked magdump wont save your sorry ass in one-on-many situation. doesn't matter if you have 6, 8, 12 or 50 rounds on you. you are fucked. period.

I think revolvers are neat in the same way bows, spears, etc are. They are cool but yeah they are obselete and no use pretending otherwise. 6 shots is fucking nothing and reloading them is a pain

I doubt any store would pay you more than $900 for it right now when they can just get a brand new one that's identical from Colt.

I have a 4.25" Stainless Python and it's been flawless for me and very accurate. I've thought about selling it for something else several times but I really do like taking it out twice a year and getting it nice and warm so I won't. My only regret is not waiting for the "blued" 6 inch.

I have an inability to sell anything. Whenever I think about selling something; I start imagining a future where all guns are banned in the United States and my SCCY CPX-2 becomes extremely valuable. Or my Phoniex HP-22. Lol

>due to small capacity and revolvers taking a long time to load
Buy some dummy ammo and practice with a speed loader.
>it's not that accurate (at least in my hands)
Practice. And when you load it, put one dummy round in the cylinder with the rest being life then spin the cylinder. So when you shoot the dummy round, it highlights mistakes on your hands like if you anticipate the explosion or start pulling down.
That said, they are annoyingly expensive to shoot. I carry a ruger gp100 38/357 for outdoor carry. It looks cool. I usually carry 6 bear rounds in one speed loader and 6 rounds of 38spl full wad-cutters for rabbits, racoons, possum, squirrel, or whatever else is in season.

I’d pay money to some revolverfag trying to reload in a defensive encounter
Anonymous No.64473950 [Report]
If you don’t like the gun then you don’t like the gun. That said it might be worth your time to look around and see who’s selling something your interested in and seeing if they want to trade instead of trying to outright sell.
