Not to make this a /pol/ thread I just want sound advice from fellow /k/ anons, should I buy a third AR?

Youngkins vetoing of assault weapon bans in Virginia is over since its a sure shot that Spanberger is going to win and she has been very vocal about getting a ban passed.

I wanted to wait to get a third one (going the warlord route of getting 5 max to pass out to unarmed buddies in case of mass unrest) but Spanberger is going to throw a wrench in that plan with the high likelihood of Virginia getting cucked like Washington did.

So should I just wait like I wanted and buy out of state when I am ready? Or be a consoomer retard and give PSA $500 now for a spare rifle that will live in a safe and occasionally shot by buddies

I’d wait and see. It’s not an absolute guarantee that she’ll win, nor is it an absolute guarantee that an AWB will be on the docket first legislative session of the year. If you’re already set on moving regardless, save the money. Put it towards getting the hell out of there. If you want to stay, and have time between now and the enforcement of a potential ban, then use that time to save money and buy a decent AR.

I'd say ARs specifically are a low concern because it seems like even the left wing judges won't defend AR bans under the common use standard. Both Kagan and Sotomayor have said ARs are common use in decisions and a NJ state judge found ARs are in common use. it seems like they plan on going after "accessories" or "features" and not ARs

Just speaking from my own experience as a Coloradan. There wasn’t any serious effort directed towards AWBs in my state for a decade after the first magazine ban despite the dems having the majority. Not saying it’s not a priority of theirs, I just don’t know how important it is to Virginia dems. Killing infants en masse was their rallying cry back in ‘21. Don’t quite know where their priorities lie now.

If it were me I'd buy a jig and a stack of 80% lowers. Especially in VA, you will always have an easy time getting parts from neighboring states. I haven't filled out a 4473 for any firearm I own because living in CA in the 90s-early 00s made me paranoid. 80% builds now vs 20 years ago are stupidly easy and are being overtaken by 3d printing. Shit, maybe getting a printer would be an even better safeguard.

They're trying to force you to buy off the shelf compliant guns at 1k a pop, then do no mods at all to them without a licensed gunsmith. i built all of mine a decade ago at home, i even bought a kydex press and made my own fins. It was fun. I probably neutered a couple dozen ebil ar15s when they cracked down on the bullet button for friends.

i volunteer at an after high school youth fitness program thing and all the 16-17 year olds are actually depressed that there aren't any used cars they can afford to buy and cruise around in. My own son is about to be 14 and I've got a project car we are going to work on but there isn't a guarantee it will pass smog or we will be allowed to drive it. a genuine life sucking shithole if I could get out I would but we've got generations living on the same street in our little town.
maybe that big one happens and dumps have the state into the ocean that's my own hope at this point. and watching other states get flooded by our retards and catch our same cancer is even more depressing.
