Sterile 7×14 bandages, many.

Large sterile gauze pads, 5 pcs.

Individual first aid dressings (for an open pneumothorax), 5 pcs.

Hydrogen peroxide solution, to thoroughly clean a wound of caked blood and as an antiseptic.

Povidone‑iodine solution—the best antiseptic; can be used for both fresh and suppurating wounds, including various corns and calluses.

Ofloxacin + methyluracil + lidocaine ointment for treating purulent wounds, purulent complications, or ulcers. Apply dressings with the ointment during the day; remove the bandage at night.

Sterile scalpels, 10 pcs. For opening purulent abscesses and large hematomas.

Straight clamp and curved clamp, preferably Billroth type; without teeth (manageable, but better with teeth).

Anatomical forceps.

Gloves, preferably sterile—15 pairs. Non‑sterile for procedures—20 pairs.

Disposable wooden tongue depressors, 25 pcs. For throat examination and as splints for finger fractures.

Cardboard splints (ideally): set includes an arm splint, a leg splint, and a cervical collar. You can buy Kramer wire splints at a medical supply store; they are not expensive.

Burn spray (chloramphenicol‑based), for fresh burns; no dexpanthenol; or burn dressings with lidocaine. Dexpanthenol is for wound healing when there is oozing.

Adhesive tape, preferably non‑fabric, to approximate wound edges; you can buy wound‑closure clips (cheaper than a needle holder with needles and suture). If you do not know how to suture, do not do it—approximate the edges instead.

Antibiotics: amoxicillin/clavulanate 850 mg, twice daily; duration depends on the condition, minimum 8 days. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily as a reserve if the first is ineffective; efficacy is judged only on day 3 of illness. Ceftriaxone vials—20 vials; 2 packs of lidocaine for reconstitution (2 ampoules per vial); inject into the gluteal muscle. Used for large wound surfaces, severe purulent processes, large burns, prolonged fever when amoxicillin/clavulanate is ineffective. Levofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 10 days for cystitis, pyelonephritis, or suspected urogenital infections.

5 mL syringes, 30 pcs, plus alcohol wipes or alcohol with cotton.

A couple of packs of NSAID ampoules, ketorolac or diclofenac, for pain relief and as an antipyretic for high fever. For children only from 16 years of age.

Drotaverine tablets for abdominal pain of any kind; if they do not help, a surgeon may be needed (not in all cases).

Activated charcoal—10 packs. Dosage: 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight. Or diosmectite—20 packets. Used for poisonings, intestinal infections, and diarrhea.

Oral rehydration salts (ORS)—10 packets. For diarrhea and vomiting. To restore electrolyte balance; see the packet instructions.

Metoclopramide tablets for nausea, vomiting, and abdominal bloating, provided the nausea is not related to headache or dizziness.

Aluminum hydroxide + magnesium hydroxide + benzocaine (Almagel A equivalent) and sodium bicarbonate. For heartburn, acid belching, and epigastric pain.

Prednisolone ampoules—inject 2–3 ampoules for allergic reactions, allergy‑related edema, and pruritic rashes.

Loratadine or chloropyramine, taken together with prednisolone for allergies.

Acetazolamide—for dizziness and bursting headache with nausea.

Phenobarbital + ethylbromisovalerate oral drops, for chills not related to fever, panic, fear, and strong palpitations. Dosage about one drop per year of age; can be repeated several times.

Manual sphygmomanometer (learn to use it; it is not difficult).

Acetylsalicylic acid + paracetamol + caffeine tablets, for low blood pressure.

Captopril 25 mg or moxonidine 0.2 mg (maximum 0.6 mg per day) for high blood pressure. With high BP and rapid pulse—propranolol 10 mg. All tablets are dissolved under the tongue.

Iodine–potassium iodide solution or spray for the throat in tonsillitis (when there are white granules on the tonsils) and for sore throat. Additionally, an antiseptic spray (e.g., chlorhexidine; may also be used for burning with urination). With tonsillitis, start antibiotics as well.

Any vasoconstrictive drops—naphazoline or xylometazoline—used for a congested runny nose and for nosebleeds.

Ipratropium bromide + fenoterol inhaler for shortness of breath and wheezing; can be used as adjunctive therapy in bronchitis and pneumonia; it dilates the bronchi.

Cough lozenges (labeled “cough tablets”), used for dry cough without sputum.

Nitroglycerin spray (2 sprays) for high blood pressure accompanied by constricting chest pain. Use extremely carefully; many side effects: can sharply lower BP, cause fainting, and severe headache. If unsure, do not use.

Tolperisone tablets for back pain, used with analgesics (ketorolac, ibuprofen, nimesulide, diclofenac, meloxicam, etoricoxib).

Physical fitness is more important, you can run a lean kit without a real need for any of that fancy extra shit.

Survivor nigger here, don't know how else to call it, UNICEF, Red cross, combat tour, tourist.

There's a separation between IFAK, which is for infantry who have to shelter in place, so it's got more gauze and tourniquet then usual, it's for people medics can't get to immediately.

Theirs a field kit, which is more like a general medical kit, so has things like eye drops, antibiotics, it's the aggregate kit to prevent someone in the field actually needing to go to a field hospital.

There is a surgical kit, which comes in large, medium, small, but the commonality is that it's for supplying to someone else, not yourself. It wouldn't be strange to be sewing up someone else and use the wounded person's IFAK on yourself because you didn't have one.

If you aren't trained, IFAK, if you're trained but have to self-op, field kit. If you're a group medic, surgery kit.
So if you're IFAK, spray on bandage because it can cover wide area injury, gauze patches, small saline, multi-tool (which normally is in you bags), fine tweezers, betadine, glue on stitches
