personally I do find it neat that at least one religious state sect (the russian orthodox church) seems to have fully embraced the apocalyptic nature of nuclear weapons. Although what I'm unclear on is what role these russian schizos think their nukes will actually play - do they simply think nuclear war will be an aspect of the apocalypse described in revelations, or do they actively believe they're gonna use their nukes against the forces of the antichrist?
