its good enough nearly everywhere id say its the closest to a universal camo pattern we will ever get
also it used to be the super commando sof operator ninja camo in the early afghan days
people always like the special forces stuff that was the case with tiger stripe in vietnam or ss camo patterns

Cost and effectiveness. We were spending retarded amounts of money early in GWOT on uniform patterns that didn't work. UCP, tiger stripe, even the navy was doing this shit. Marines came up with the best pattern but refused to share.

Scorpion is a little different to avoid royalties or however that works, but same thing basically.

We really need one uniform for everyone again. BDUs were aesthetic as fuck.
