When was the last time they were ever outnumbered in any meaningful capacity? The 1940s? Even then, that was more like them facing several smaller Arab armies they always outnumbered instead of one giant Arab army.

The last 50 years of the IDF has been them fighting (and losing) against forces they massively outnumber, out gun, and out fund.

There’s no way to spin such submission into victory. They aren’t proving anything by not retaliating. If they won and had Israel in the ropes, they would still defend themselves. Israel would not have dared casually taking parts of Gaza/lebanon and bombing them daily like this pre-October 7th, but this is now the new normal and neither Hamas or Hezbollah dare retaliate in any way. Apparently “diplomatic cover” removes the ability of them to defend themselves on a basic level.
