Autogyros have far greater range and loiter time than drones so. Unless you mean proper recon ones like global hawks

I fucking hate pusher gyros. I wish somebody made a proper De La Cierva style tractor gyro, with the jumpstart main rotor from his last design (and Jukka Tervamaki's aero improvements).
