The Norwegian National Guard, in a world first, has developed a bulletproof guard post container for rapid deployment to secure ports and other facilities.

The Støre Stormbunker features:
>Cover from rain and wind
>Sandbag lined walls (total weight with container: 20 tons)
>Optional plexiglass windows
>Optional oven for heating

Impressive piece of military technology, let's hope the chinese or russians don't get their hands on the top secret plans to this engineering marvel and copy it.
But then who am I kidding, they would probably build an inferior copy with fake sand and sheet metal that has dents in the wrong spots and their optional plexiglass window would not fit.

Yeah...
GWOT guard shacks were cast concrete. Bulletproof. Often they were rigged with bulletproof glass too. If Americans can pay Arabs to whip up some cheap prefab crap like that, why can't a white country like Norway do it?

National Guardsmen do 3 days of military exercises a year.
And they're supposed to be out of shape 40 year olds. No idea where they found all these kids.
Anonymous No.64508240 [Report]
>>64508189

There is a lot to say about the Home Guard; some units barely train, others train a month per year and are ready to fight within few hours. But they are not just 40 year olds any more, they are recruited out of the ranks of 19 year olds who have just completed standard military service. Our regular reserves are nowhere near large enough to accommodate the annual volume of new trained soldier. So you get an age gap from about 20 to even 60 if they wish to keep serving.

And also wrong, actually. Only 1 in 6 Norwegians are of foreign heritage, and the non-white percentage of even that is quite low - Poland, Ukraine and Lituaia are the biggest foreign countries of origin. The percentage of non-whites in Norway could be as low as 1 in 12. Who in /k comes from a country with a lower percentage that that?

Also you could angle the hardened plates a bit for increased thickness and possibility of ricochet at the front and rear (keep the sides flat for interior space).
Also it could be made even more mobile if we added engine and tracks.

Would these things be any more protective against drones than a tank (AKA not very), though? I don't have confidence those walls are any thicker than 18mm, which FPV drones have had no problem cracking.

Impressive, but the Roman Empire gave us concrete. Sorry Norway, how do you even compete with that?

The answer is you can't, but you can always do it rong and fail. Russians do this by using pre-fabbed septic tanks.

Well, considering Norway are cement exporters...

But you guys should not think some poor ass Home Guard units in open bunkers represent anything important in the war Norway is preparing to fight. They are little more than initial defense to keep the assets from being captured within the first ten seconds of war. If you want to see our real static defenses I would have to take you deep, deep into mountain tunnels where cameras arent welcome, and most of the army is not going to stay anywhere for more than a few hours at most. Our forces are for the most part highly mobile and extremely aware of the concept of russian satellite cameras.

GLONASS has like what, 12 sattelites? Their time on station is pretty low. Intervals of sometimes hours. Plus, 12 satellites is an achievable number to shoot down. EU should invest in a couple anti-Satellite missiles.
Anonymous No.64513236 [Report]

>EU should invest in a couple anti-Satellite missiles.
Well they are dumping massive amounts of money into space research and rocketry.
The Swedes of all people have also been dumping resources into expanding their already operational spaceport up in the far north, and they claim the Swedish military will be launching their own defense satellites by 2030.
It's absolutely within the realm of possibility that the EU will be launching things like hunter-killer satellites from that place within a few years.
The Norwegians also have a space launch site up in the far north. A private company from German recently used it for the fist time to launch an orbital rocket (pic rel) partially funded by Porsche, but the rocket suffered some kind of engine error soon after it was launched, so it was remotely shut down and allowed to crash before it could fly off in a dangerous direction.
