Because trannies are inherently an easy target and the make themselves a perfect scapegoat.
If you're looking for a target for people's Two Minutes Hate then obviously you're going to pick a group of people who are largely quite freakish in looks, psychology and behavior.
Adding to that is the seeming impossibility for trannies to ever learn or grow. Other scapegoats have eventually pivoted away overtime. Like BLM fizzling out. Trannies are the only group I've ever seen that has actually doubled down and never ever improved.
If I didn't know better I would say that trannies get a kick out of being hated and being legislated against.

We're undergoing the largest shift in human nature, probably since the dawn of man. They're afraid.

One's sex is typically a fundamental pillar of one's identity. Throughout most of human history, it has been largely true that humans fall into discrete categories of male and female, in reality, these are two poles, and hormone therapies and plastic surgery (and in future, gene therapy, tissue engineering, etc.) are opening up the spaces between these two poles.

This particularly scares feminists, because the exclusive lived experience of the female is a philosophical pillar to them, that a male can become one of them is like stolen valor (also many of them just hate men).

This is likely the first wave of transhumanism, there will be others.
