Every other tranny I meet online was in the military at some point in their life. Is there a discernable reason for this trend?

may be a thing with older mtfs but I've personally never met an ex military tranny, this generation does have a weird number of anarchist mtfs who avoid taking hrt for the revolution or some other nonsense though

Never actually made it to the military, but was planning on it and was in ROTC. I'm from a military family and thought I needed credits in school, but didn't. Glad I went because it made me realise that I hated those kind of people, especially this one marine girl that came in. I guess it was kinda just doing what was expected of me

militranny here. most people i met in the military were low class people with bad home lives who needed the military to achieve something. i know you enjoy working at Starbucks and knowing if it gets bad enough you can move in with mommy and daddy but some of us don't have that safety net.

Never in *the* military. Had the "luck" to be called gifted because I learned to read and count a year before the others. Turns out I'm dog shit at math. Still became a programmer though - the other tranny route. (GI bill hasn't been enacted here, but if it was, the enlistment rates would triple, and I would needed to have enlisted, too).

I was an Army Civ. 17C (Cyberwarfare, interoperability, C2 systems) though. Best 3 months of my life before I got fired due to national security reasons (being a tranny). Base cmdr had a field day shoiluting transphobic shit.

A lot of trannies are just cis people who don’t know what to do with their life post-secondary school when they finally have complete freedom to choose their life trajectory and fall into NEETdom cuz of late stage capitalist modernity, then happen upon trans identity as an excuse for why their lives have gone nowhere. Being in the military puts it off for a few years.

Once they've reached peak manhood some people just get bored and decide to try maxxing out womanhood
