How do people treat you in public as a troon? I've always been seen as weird so I don't mind that, but is everyone going to hate me?

where do you live?

A lot of hostility but it’s mostly due to where I live. It’s calmed a bit in recent months but having tranny yelled at you, people following you to insult you, pointing and laughing or just pointing you out to others is most of it. Thankfully nothing physical though I’ve experienced physical assault while dressed down and presenting as a guy on a couple occasions.

Oh and I’ve never gendered female but that’s the least of my concerns

Where is that type of stuff happening? Are you a a taller or shorter person?

I’m tall (6ft+) and it’s just on the street, I try to avoid entering buildings when I’m girlmoding unless it’s somewhere I need to be. Again, don’t let it dissuade you, it’s just a matter of fact where I live and it is slowly improving (in the last month or so the worst that’s happened was someone pointing and laughing at me, most of the other examples I mentioned haven’t happened in months).

That's good, but "where I live" isn't very helpful, do you live in like a place like Los Angeles, Warsaw or bumfuck Mississippi? I am trying to learn my tranny geography.

it was worse when i didn't pass and lived in a "multicultural" city/country, nothing as bad as some of the stuff the other anon is saying though, just people would stare and talk about me and go out of their way to misgender me if they clocked me. i still don't feel like i pass personally but i get gendered female in boymode now and people in public usually just ignore me or are pleasant when we do interact, every now and again i catch a guy staring but they look away when i notice.

oof. the only people who really do vocal transphobia here are british tourists lol my condolences.

That is nice to hear, are you American? In my experience Americans are nice and introverted and don't like to start shit with people.

i'm in the czech republic, first part of my post was about france though because i used to live there. fwiw i travelled to the US back in 2021 and found people there really nice and warm even though i definitely didn't pass at the time and this was in the south (major city though). it was a fresh of breath air after having not left the shithole that is france for all of covid.

That's great to hear that people in the south of all places are nice to non-passing trannies, I kind of would like to live there and I was worried they would be mean to me since they are more conservative than my part of the country. Was it Atlanta by any chance?

new orleans and its outskirts mostly, i only transited through atlanta so i can't speak for there.

chill! One of my favorite things about people is how little they actually care, its so nice how everyone irl leaves eachother alone.

I don't know. I mostly keep my head down and avoid eye contact, so I'm always ignored.

I just assume most people hate me though, but I don't actually know and that's what scares me.

cont. when I see people, all I see are eye monsters staring at me. when I hear them laugh, a huge wave of anxiety washes over me and I start walking faster.
Anonymous No.40094334 [Report]
>>40094228
Yeah that’s why I’m saying take it with a grain of salt lol it’s just a very contained transphobic environment here
>>40094260
And leeching on to say I’ve been to the Czech Republic myself and walked around and experienced literally zero hate or weird stares as a non-passer besides maybe once when I was in a bar with a really drunk person being a dick.

Do you know if they are laughing AT you? I good thing to remember if you have anxiety problems if that people don't give as much of a shit as you think they do, good and bad.

after 3 months of hrt, i got a lot of girls attention and turks and arabics asked me if im a girl or a boy when barcrawling
after 4y now i def feel like i look and pass better but I'm mostly ignored now, people generally assume im a woman. a guy asked for my number the first time in my life yesterday which was surprising

honestly, if you can get over that first year, you will be fine, if you can voicepass and don't look too manly, most people will gender you as a woman

In my experience, 99.9% of people will be welcoming and supportive.
And 0.1% of people will try to make your life miserable.
