I tend to be suspicious of people who prefer "transfem" over "trans woman" as an identity label. They tend to be the most Internet-addicted type of trans woman, and the most irony-poisoned. I think a good example of what I mean is femtanyl, and those associated with her. No sincerity, no real purpose. Just memes, drugs, and "SYBAU."

Maybe that's because "transfem" is not really used that much outside internet, so people who you see using it are the internet-type ones. I myself feel like any would work, altho "transfem" is technically more accurate (I don't really care). I usually joke that my gender is more "not a man" than "a girl", but irl I'm just presenting myself as a trans woman.

im too much of a boomer tranny i don't understand transfem and transmasc. ive heard its not the same thing as being a trans woman or a trans man but i don't really get all this gender outside gender stuff my dysphoria was very in line with conventional biological sex
