But I do agree some "transwomen" are not women. But accepting that makes many trans people uncomfortable. And they say they don't care about optics but that what it is in that case. They are afraid that if a certain subset are called out that it will dial back all their rights. I think if a majority of trans rights activists would call all a few cases like lily tino it would go a long way. But back to the optics. They see it as an incursion on their identity and fear doing it in the handful of cases will normalize it. I can't speak to optics. I can only speak to what's right. Lily tino is a crossdresser which is okay too but that's not the same as a woman.
