heroin is a rush for 10 seconds, and then it feels ok, but like the right extended release morphine/hydromorphone/oxymorphone pills can have you nodding for hours

I only took it because somehow some drugs make Ambien not work including some antibiotics and fish oil and eating fat before or after taking it (it makes you absurdly comically hungry so its kinda annoying that fatty foods blunt the impact)
I took tizanidine while taking antibiotics cuz otherwise I couldnt sleep somehow some medicines blunt the effects of ambien (ive never seen research on this) but you figure it out if you take it long term

i already tried almost all the big names so i'd have to get into wonky analogues to experience anything new, and idk if that's worth the trouble. granted, for depression its technically not ketamine, its a nasal spray form, but i do enjoy it.
it gives you like 45 min of dissociation, almost ego death, then you come back.
as someone with depression, it is very nice to just have my consciousness evaporate for a while, not having to be present in my body i hate

personally never enjoyed weed though. both thc edibles and smoking it kinda sucked, but i am fairly sure that psychedelics have made weed way more psychoactive than if i had never done lsd before

i've been a chronic weed user for about 12 years, with a few breaks here and there. the past 5 years though, i would vape multiple times a day. hands-down the worst side-effects were from oil cartridges, so i eventually stopped using those and now i only use flower. i'm on week 3 of my sober break and i'm not really feeling any withdrawals, i think the addiction is purely psychological. my brain is hardwired to seek dopamine regardless, and weed acts as a sort of spice that makes a lot of things more enjoyable; it's basically like msg. imo it's not that bad of an addiction compared to alcohol, cigarettes, or gambling. weird thing is i never got addicted to cigarettes despite having bought a few packs a long time ago. smoking menthol lights felt really good while buzzed, but now that i think about it it's kinda gross and i wouldn't do it again.
