In an era where simply being homosexual was criminal, simply collecting data and interviews instead of individual case studies was a massive struggle, and probably the most important thing he did on the trans front.

The problem is that in the decades since, there's been a complete hyper focus on texas gunslinger approaches to neurology, where the bias of the researchers is so obvious that it can be seen from a senate hearing. Other research has fallen behind, and the little that exists is low power and shit that is probably not replicatable.

FTM research was so shitty that full time activists got completely blindsided by the detransitioners.

Harsh tryth is that a good percentage of cis women are also 'agp' as blanchard defined it, not because 'cis women are agp' but because agp is a fuzzy concept and someone could answer yes to (some) of those survey questions without being agp as blanchard envisioned it.
