by passing as straight you probably mean the masculine bisexual men. normally tops and have a bad reputation for being manwhores. they probably get the best of both worlds but the bisexuals that are not masc and don’t pass as straight might be shunned by both men and women. many gay men don’t want to date bisexual men because bisexuals have a reputation for leaving them for women.
