i vaguely remember having a conversation with my mother when i was in the first year of primary school (i was like 4 or 5)
i asked something about liking another boy in my class the way i liked some of the girls in my class
she started panicking and said something like "you dont want to kiss him though" which made me uncomfortable so i just walked it back and never brought it up again
took me a decade to come to the realisation of what i was, but it could have been worse for me

My community loved gay men and i was heavily encouraged to be a gay man by peers. My parents also tried to encourage me once they started worrying I would troon. I tried as hard as i could but I just couldn't be happy as a gay man. Dysphoria is a bitch! If I could press a button or take a pill to feel euphoric congruence with homomasculinity I would. But even years of effort proved futile
