>>40178929 (OP)I had orchi in September last year. I decided to spend a week in the hospital because it's in Thailand, everything down there was tightly taped and padded with gauze, so dealing with that at home would be annoying, if anything happened, I just called a nurse to help me.
How uncomfortable the recovery will be depends on the amount of thigh gap you have, like, it's super annoying when your empty sack gets pinched and rolled between your thighs early on. That's why I strongly recommend to wear tight underwear even at home, but switch to something loose at night.
After 3 months there still will be minor discomfort, but it's largely ignorable. It's been 10 months for me, I still get a bit of discomfort when I touch around the inguinal canal opening, but as I was told it's normal.
Oh, and you'll prob get some minor nerve damage during the surgery, nothing scary, it won't be cut, just disturbed. Your inner thigh will feel like on fire or tingly, but the side of your sack and a bit above it will be kinda numb. My left side was normal, but I had this happen on the right side. It'll resolve on its own over time, it's like 6+ months for me.
