the river flows downhill with the passage of time
so why is my own change a sin and a crime
we live in the flux of potentials and real
what is wrong with allowing the old wounds to heal

i've been trying my best and the journey's uphill
but for once in my life i feel passions and thrill
I was given the view, and the path, and the strife
there's a script for an actor and a struggle for life

It’s a good poem, the author knows she isn’t beautiful, which reveals deeper motivations behind her as the poem professes. The “sort of glowy you see in felons” is a fantastic line and changes the trajectory of it going forward. Good shit, keep doing what you’re doing sister.
