The most cucked thing I ever heard from my mother was after I showed her a video of a convenience store clerk who was shot in the back of the head as he knelt after letting his murderer take everything of value. She said that better than to fight back and keep his life, it's better to commend his soul to God and that's all. I can't agree with such a way of thinking. I believe that at the minimum, if one does not have it in themselves to defend their life for their own sake, one has the duty to prevent others meeting the same end by taking out the would-be murderer.
