I understand why the transphobes do it and the normies who don't know any better, but we as an LGBTQ+ community should not be legitimizing this.
Legitimately every single detrans person I have ever encountered has been one of two archetypes:
1) "I used to delude myself into thinking I could be a man/woman but actually it's impossible I was deluded just like all trannies are YWNBAW/M and neither will I and we both need daddy trump to come and genocide us for the unforgivable sin of being a disgusting tranny, praise god"
Or
2) "I used to be trans but stopped because it was scary and society hates us, I have nothing against other trans people, but society scared me into detransing"
Neither of these are healthy approaches to the issue. They are both forms of coercion and mental illness. Not a single detrans I've ever encountered in my life has EVER simply said honestly, "I was wrong about being trans, I personally am a man/woman and feel better staying that way, but other trans people are valid". We should not be granting legitimacy to this nonsense.
