Hey this is a hair thread.
Specifically it's about an intermediate issue trannies go through. Stuck at a length like picrel. It doesn't look bad, it passes, but it won't grow fucking longer.
I think some of the issue is caused specifically by lasting T damage.
Type A. Think of totally natural E only hair:
>long, healthy, grows super easy could treat it like total shit and bleach it and damage it and it'll still be waist length and full and healthy
Type B. Slight T damage or other bad genetics (broad topic):
>stuck with hair like picrel MIGHT be able to get it longer . I think the anon "Uzi" or "hairanon" is a great example for this. I'm not Uzi but I've seen them trying and getting no progress. Protectice styles and hair maxxing MIGHT help this but still much more annoying than Type A.
Type C. Heavy levels of T damage:
>Classic AGP curls. May be further damaged by poor treatment but most of this is just T damage rather than bad treatment. A type A girl could treat her hair like total shit and it'd still look a million times better than any Type C person can dream.
Type D. Male Pattern Baldness:
>This is the one most people accept and will not call you crazy for complaining about. But my broader point is that balding is a spectrum and it starts making your hair look like shit long before your hair goes away.

Here's a classic type A youngshit. You cannot fucking tell me Viv actually cares for her hair well. No fucking way. She is not oiling. She is not wearing protective styles. And it just fucking work.

Might hair maxxing work to bring people up a step? Can it make Type Cs into Type Bs or Type Bs into Type As? Perhaps.
But Idk to me it also seems a bit overblown. At the very least do the basics that's cheap but be very wary of spending any money on it. Viv sure doesn't.

It's not about passing, like I said type B can pass perfectly fine.
It's about hairmaxxing and if it's a lie or not. Or if there's nuance there what it looks like.

Is it "Spend a lot on hair products, wear protective styles, don't bleach" and you can actually get results. Or is it all a scam and it's all genetics?
These days I think it's like 80% genetics(specifically T damage which some cis women are also more prone to), 20% hair care bullshit, like it helps somewhat but less than we think.

AGP curls refers to more than just curly hair.
I don't have great pics of it saved but it's extremely dry/damged and curling because of that, not because it's naturally curly. Like think naturally straight hair that's just so fucked it starts curling

Awesome, another way testosterone fucked me forever. I'm a solid type B, but my hair absolutely refuses to grow past about 1/3 of the way down my back. I've been growing it out for 3 years and its seemingly been just stuck there for the last year. Anything I can do about that is much appreciated, I rlly want long hair.

caffeine shampoo or serums (specifically ones intended for the scalp, face serums tend to be too high) can help, scalp massages less so
finasteride/minoxidil/dutasteride are always going to be the gold standard treatments though

Atm I'm convinced protective styles are the best and cheapest option.
Think of it like your hair is sort of getting sawed off by your shoulders because it's at shoulder length. It's rubbing them and getting damaged.

However as the viv example shows many women and trannies have zero issues growing past shoulder length so it has to be more than just that.

genetics and race (including hair colour) are really important when talking about hair
male hair is thicker and oiler than female hair, both grow at the same rate, female hair grow for longer and results in longer hair if not cut
hair can take 7 years to grow to the max length, maybe more
male hair at the sides and back is usually unaffected by balding and continue to reach full length for a long time
miniaturization by balding is fully reversible up to a certain point
nutrition and other internal factors are usually much more important than hair products
its better to know the science behind hair products rather than just buying a ton of them
to maximize your hair length you should avoid causing damage to it:
avoid bleaching, brush often to avoid knots, only brush straight and wavy (maybe?) hair when dry, and curly hair when wet, use conditioner when brushing your hair, dont rub your hair dry, dont sleep with wet hair, avoid thermal damage, etc

>other internal factors

by female hair i mean high E and low androgens of course
>>40222731
it depends if you should be brushing your hair when dry or wet
the point of using conditioner is to reduce the amount of friction and force that you apply on your hair to detangle/brush
>on the hair or the brush?
on the hair

if you have curly hair that doesn't brush well dry then you brush it in the shower wet with conditioner worked into your hair so the brush glides through easily and doesn't damage your hair.

i see, thank you for your wisdom nona, unfortunately i have stupid wavy hair that no one seems to know how to properly take care of (especially drying, i feel like every method of drying just has people saying it’s horrible for wavy hair), but i’ll try and see what works

there isnt a bad method for drying your hair, just avoid friction when wet and avoid blowing your hair dry with too much heat
but letting your hair airdry or blowing dry or a mix of the 2 are all fine
