it seems like most of the research that has been done on this topic is on anything but injections and if u ask the reddit or discord troons theyll all immediately jump to the blood clotting or cancer or whatever i literally could not care less about any of that all i care about is if itll hinder me passing does anyone have any research on this topic specifically for injections? if no research anecdotal experience on its effects on and off nicotine with injections are appreciated thank you

It'll age your skin and teeth which will make you uglier to most people. Idk about actually effects on estrogen though.

i smoke like a pack a month while on injections and my levels have always been fine. but i will concur with the other poster that it makes you uglier and thereby hinders passing

i wasn't getting any results before i started but i've heard its because both estrogen and cigs cause increased risk of blood clots. luckily i have a blood disease that basically counteracts that

Anecdotally I would consider smoking to have nominal contraindications w injections, but if you ever find yourself interested in any surgeries it’ll definitely make the healing process less than ideal

Of course they do anon . There's dozens of peer reviewed articles on the subject. Note that it's smoking specific. Vapes and patches are not well understood, but also shown to negate estrogen. Only question is degree. This is of course not even counting any of the other effects. Smoking hurts any chance of passing and feminization.

Here's a casual article on the topic.

One study has the nicotine internasally,.

cis male bisexual here. I've dated smokers, and their skin is usually drier and their hair has less shine. Their teeth are yellowed, and if they smoke at the same spot it stains the tooth enamel which is obvious. Their breath smells like an ashtray when you kiss them, and overall the house/apartment just stinks. I wouldn't date another smoker, its a deal breaker now.

As for the Endocrinology, I've read that nicotine blocks estrogen, so that's on top of all the other bad shit.

As for feminine mannerisms? Sure, some movie starlets made smoking look glamorous, but most women do not pull that off and end up just looking trashy. Plus its going to be additive, give you cancer and cost a lot of cash? Just fucking don't.

Yeah that sounds pretty rough, I am always scared of ruining my teeth.
Since I started hrt I have tried to gain, I was around 16.2 before hrt, and now I’m about 17.2. I feel fat now though, and I am going to try to get back to what I was.
Stay safe

If you are taking sublingual estrogen, smoking will inhibit that. Otherwise it's the same as...smoking if you were a natal woman.
