As a transgirl who has transitioned, and detransitioned, and transitioned again with much more favorable results, I just wanted to share a few things for those who want to hear them.

1. Grow your hair out and get it professionally cut and femme enough that it isn't just bushy hair growth. Have it frame your face appropriately. Don't squish your hair under a hat in boymode and then expect it to look femme when you take your hat off. Fluff your hair up where it looks best, give it volume.
2. After about 5-6 months in, eat ice cream all the time to get some fat to dist to your hips and butt. It helps so god damn much.
3. Exercise for a short while multiple times a week. You don't need to power through an hour long workout on a daily basis, just get sweaty and get your body moving every few days so it doesn't get stretch marks and so your male distributed body fat burns and is replaced with female fat.
4. Get rid of the facial hair shadow. Laser, electro, whatever. It is arguably the biggest thing working against you and will get you clocked 100% of the time. If you have a lot of it to get rid of, it can also affect your jaw shape and you might find yourself very pleased at the changes which is also a reason to stress this needing attention immediately.
5. Use moisturizer after you shave your face. You're scraping your skin and leaving it dry and it's already thirsty enough if you're on spiro. Use a product with Hyaluronic Acid.
6. Dark circles suck. Regularly use a retinol product approved for around the eyes.
7. Remember that it takes a lot of time and you get to use that time accordingly. The major changes don't really even start until nearly 6 months in, and that's when they only start - it takes years to fully feminize.
8. Train your voice. Work at talking higher, practice singing, get lessons, do vocal exercises, whatever you find works.
