Why is a movement ostensibly for the protection of sexual minorities so autophobic?

I think that human sexuality is at least two dimensional, the first dimension being hetero-homosexuality of course, and the second being auto-allosexuality.

agp amab or aap afab is the most visible because agp afabs and aap amabs are more able to appear as well-adjusted but when you identify them they are clearly different than typical "straight" hetero-allosexuals.

Because it is already being used by TERFs to make it seem like all trannies have a sexual fetish and transition for that reason, rather than the dysphoria many of us experience.

For years of my life, I have hated myself for having agp, and parts of me still do. It would be much better if it was more accepted, better understood, and widely known about. Then perhaps I wouldn’t feel too harsh on myself.

But the truth is: I think it is for the best to gatekeep AGP because I am genuinely scared for trans rights at the moment. And it doesn’t even matter which party is in power because even in the UK, the Labour Party which is a traditionally left wing is rolling back on trans rights.

blanchard's model of AGP isn't just "some people are sexually attracted to themselves being feminine/a woman." it's "some men and no women have a sexual orientation focused on being a woman, and this sexual orientation is the cause of all cases of mtf gender dysphoria in people who are not obligate androphiles."
the first proposition is obviously true. the second proposition is false.

You're overthinking it, the "andro/gyne" comes before the "auto". Everyone is at an androphile or a gynephile as they are born, then some autophile tendencies may arise as a specialized andro/gynephilia, without necessarily overriding the base andro/gynephilia.
