You didn't factor in the desire one has to be accepted as their true self by their peers as a counterweight, in the case that they are genuine in their feelings, and only added it to the side of "they're hiding being agp to be accepted."

I think the feelings of wanting to be accepted genuinely for your true honest feelings is stronger than one's desire to pretend to be someone they're not to get sexual gratification, especially when something requires a lifelong commitment.
