The ladder has been pulled up by previous generations of men, there are no real role models which is something men need to thrive, all challenge is meaningless struggle, masculinity has been vilified and usurped by a parody of itself, and the expectations for men, especially economically, are decades out of date compared to their opportunities.
This whole "manosphere" cope misunderstands a fundamental aspect of the issue and feeds into it. You can laugh at the people falling for the snake oil salesman all you want, if you don't understand why they're succeeding then you're equally as clueless as the people who are buying their shit.
