I dunno what makes someone a good ally? I don't think he is particularly good at arguing for lgbt rights when compared to other issues but he doesn't seem bigoted. I think his most eyebrow raising thing he usually repeats along the lines of "uh you need to let me speak for the trannies cause I'm a dudebro and the conservatives are just gonna tune out the message otherwise" which feels a little patronizing towards both sides but I dunno it could be true i don't really care.
