Hello, I transitioned and objectively don’t pass which I think is what you’re confusing with being ugly. If you’re experiencing a level of crippling dysphoria that you know will only be fixed by transitioning the post-trans experience will always feel better no matter how well you pass. As for male privilege, if you’re so scared you also can just not surrender it if you think you’re not going to pass? I am still only gendered male after transitioning even with makeup, women’s clothes, etc, and while I’m treated poorly I retain all my male privilege. It’s a complicated feeling but the fact I can take it all off and present as a regular cis man is male privilege and transitioning itself has opened my eyes to how privileged men are. If all your concern is over just being an ugly woman though, get over yourself.
