So... what did I do to deserve a free meal? I was kinda on my phone the whole time. A cop showed up in the middle of me eating and I got really tense. Didn't look like there was anyone else there eating alone- so I wonder. Who paid for my dinner? and why did they do it?

So they left it out at room temp until it was cold, and then served it to you. Which means what probably happened is that someone didn't pick up their order, it sat on the counter for an hour or two which is plenty of time for food to go bad if it's all carbs and dairy like poutine, and then they handed it to you for free because "someone else paid for it ;)". I've worked in plenty of kitchens and this is surprisingly common if nobody in the back wants it.

Good luck with puking your brain out for the next 48 hours nona. Get some sugared Gatorade and some saltines because you're going to need
-calories your body can't puke back out before digesting
-electrolytes, gatorade has potassium and magnesium, saltines have sodium
or else the next few days will be even more miserable than you could have imagined.
