It really is worrisome. I knew something bad was coming when phones were being sold as essentially toys for adults and using them as electronic teddy bears to cope with social detachment and the resulting loneliness and self alienation.

Its going to be a two prong attack on humanity. On one hand, you will have the sort of dysfunctional adults who will have been kids raised on this garbage model. On the other, you will have the sort of dopey adults already who also indulge in it, normalizing the image for the kids as commercialization encourages them to do.

For example, if gen z was watching 30 year old men make bank streaming video games, then why *wouldnt* the zoomer think this is normal and something to aspire to.

Its just a mess and I have no idea how to fix it short of starting over, and that implies a manufactured cataclysm is already underway.
