no. there was a lot of pressure to go because we have history there, but I didn't even apply to see if I got in. I wanted to get away from home. I went to Davis.

my older sibling went there in the 00s but I don't really have a lot of recent info for you. A lot of STEM? students often a little more socially conservative than the surrounding area?

to clarify i cant say i've lived around all of san jose but north and western san jose only, and i think its all very different. north was kinda just shitty boring suburbs and families and maybe cisco employees, around west in particular where i live rn everyone and their mom& dad works for some tech company like apple or nvidia, and other than middle aged tech workers i think it's a lot of children. cost of living is too high for the lame cookie cutter suburbia it is it's a horrible choice for anyone else. gotta love our shiticon valley and personally witnessing the big tech corpos watching over us. the actual downtown city of san jose probably is a bit more vibrant (but more crime prone probs) but idk good luck wherever you're ending up
