>>40373659 (OP)i think it's just that the lgbt "subculture" (which not every lgbt person is part of, i'm talking about an exclusively western cultural disposition that exists around lgbt communities and tends to include more women than men) often goes hand in hand with not really taking care of yourself, presumably because of the overlap with things like body positivity, feminism more generally, "alternative" (for want of a better word) presentation, etc. even a decade ago when i was at uni in a western european country the lgbt society on campus was full of women who were overweight, didn't exercise and just generally didn't try to appear appealing to others, because in their social circles it wasn't really mandatory and frankly it was sometimes even looked down upon.
