how do i tell whether a guy is into me? he keeps giving me mixed signals
he will oftentimes give me some of his food or that sort of thing, which makes me think he's into me, but then he's like super slow to reply to my texts and when i offered to go get food with him one time, he declined saying he was trying to save money. i really can't understand him at all
i feel like giving someone your food is definitely something a guy would only do for someone he liked, but the other things he does all sort of scream that he's not interested

i don't think he's into you. in my experience, when a guy is into you, they will be way more responsive when texting and want to spend time with you. however, you could possibly play it out and maybe he'll develop feelings.

If he’s given you food since, and you like him or are interested, you could try asking him out one more time. Try somewhere/something free that’s not at your place or his (like a park or something, some museums will also offer certain hours for free). If he rejects that, assume he’s not into you.

He definitely could be into you, but his lack of communication could be his attempt to "leave you wanting more" - aka the push/pull technique. Keep talking to him and see if his communication is consistent or hot/cold. If he switches from being hot and cold easily, that's a red flag.
