I dont really see how growing up having an entire family with this mindset would lead me to transition out of homophobia. I was openly gay for years but as soon as I trooned thats when problems started.

I had a similar experience. Troons seem to have a warped view of masculinity, and, at least in most troon spaces, 'transbian' relationships tend to be default. It's like a badge of honour for them. Eugh

No, you're just more likely to be made to be the "man" when you're with a woman, no tranny wants to feel like she has to perform masculinity, it's tempting to be with women yes, and it might even work under very specific circumstances and with a ton of mutual understanding, but it's unlikely, women will push you towards a masc role, even butch women will do that over time because you have a dick and she has a vagina, trans women will also push other trans women into masc roles in relationships, because penetrative sex is pleasurable so someone will have to top.
Fundamentally, being penetrated IS gender affirming, so basically it's harder for a trans woman to feel affirmed in her gender with any AFAB person (pegging looks and feels fake), it's possible for a trans woman to feel affirmed by another trans woman, but one of them will have to sacrifice their desire for penetration, and it's still not as gender affirming as straight up being with a man.

The tone differs greatly between the various editions. A lot more raw and unashamed glorification of slaughter especially in the earliest ones while the 1961 final revision is much more ambitious in a literary sense, mythic even at times while toning down some of the more Postalcoded descriptions of gore and violence. Also WW2 tends to curb one's nationalism for some strange reason so that gets softened as well.
