>>40416197i'm a uk tranny and I really don't think it's that bad desu
I live in a nice area and the worst abuse I've received back when I didn't pass was some old guy staring at me with a hateful expression, and 2 people screaming "FAGGOT" as they drove by on separate instances. Although it probably would've been way worse in the area I grew up in. Now that I facepass but am a voicehon, I receive zero harrasment, even the local store clerk who regularly talks about voting reform is chatty and nice to me.
My mother was a TERF and my dad proudly boasted about beating up homosexuals to me before I came out. My mother being a TERF is definitely a consequence of living in the anglosphere, but my dad being a violent homophobe is something that could happen in any other 1st world country.
The NHS wait times for transgender care are absolutely absurd, 7+ years at the moment, and the services are dreadful and understaffed, but there is the option to go private which isn't particularly expensive and only takes a few months to get a diagnosis. You can ofcourse just DIY too.
I've had no trouble finding surgeons willing to operate on me, infact, my orchiectomy surgeon was sympathetic enough to ignore WPATH guidelines and provide a orchi prior to me receiving a diagnosis as I had already been DIYing for years. My BA doctor said he'd treat me like any other woman when I admitted to being trans.
The political sentiment is kind of bad, only a few years ago there were near-weekly reactionary articles bashing transgender care (for the wrong reasons) but that seems to have died down at the moment now that immigration is the new divisive social issue.
There are plenty of very leftwing people spread across the country who make every effort to accomodate transgender people. The conservatives are very 50/50 split between socially moderate fiscal conservatives and reactionaries, unlike America where most conservatives are extremely socially conservative. I do not fear a genocide.
