Please advise regarding GIC
PLEASE ONLY REPLY IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO AN NHS GIC IN THE UK

Recently I have been offered to book an appointment at an NHS GIC. I'm quite nervous, and not sure what to do. I'm a boymoder, and I have to boymode because I live with my transphobic parents. I'm also NB and have psychiatric conditions, so they might turn me down because of that. I'm considering waiting until I move out to see a GIC, but I don't want to loose my position on the waiting list and have to use private for another 6 years (I'm broke).

they will use everything they can against you to legitimise not letting you transition, including your bounding, non-binary status, lack of social transition and mental health, that leaves you with two choices
1. lie out of your ass and hope they buy it
2. wait till you move out (or if feeling risky do it rn) and do diy

high chance of getting hondosed on NHS so be careful, that’s if they even let you transition in the first place.

I feel like lying could back-fire. Are you sure that they are really this dumb? What has your experiences been like?

NHS hons are genuinely fucked.
Take DIY while you try and get legit since the reason most UKTroons look like men is they wait years in RLE trying to convince them they’re “true trans” and throughly man up.

I'm on HRT, I have been for years lol. I don't DIY I use a private provider whose diagnoses aren't recognised by NHS. I need to see the GIC to save money as I'm broke.
