I had the opposite happen where I'd go through a drive through and the person on the speaker would say "that'll be $X.XX ma'am" and then they'd apologize profusely when a manlet with a shitty excuse for a beard pulled up to the window.

I'm a straight guy so I don't care about how I look though, just if I'm perceived as skilled and intelligent. it's nice not worrying about my appearance at all

That's awesome though, it means she passed until she spoke. It's like how it was for me where people would look a bit shocked or turn their heads when I spoke, then I voice trained and even that minimal friction went away seemingly.

She just needs to go voice train now if she wants to pass fully, and i mean my voice was manly as fuck but now i sound like someone's stoner/smoker aunt, lol. Which might not sound great but everything's a matter of perspective -- I started at one place and got somewhere better, so often ppl just get blind to that and are perma depressed that they don't look and sound like their ideal fantasy, rather than focusing on making incremental progress.
