It happens on /tttt/ because /tttt/ is roughly half asian. That's the main reason and also most of the rest of the reason, i.e. trans girls seek to emulate the female role of their culture and of the role models they had when they were younger.
There's also 4 other (imo more minor) factors that are all interelated:

Some may view it as not realistic to have the latter even if they want it. Also it takes time to get there regardless.>3. Inertia. Older transitioners are used to dressing like a guy. They may dress like the left out of habit rather than anything else. This is a slight benefit of honmoding as it forces you out of those habits. >4. Looking like a girl in men's clothes is much socially safer than looking like a man in woman clothes. Boymoding/manmoding/etc.
